A Disciplinary bond is required by the CSLB in the event a citation was issued against you by a client and reported to the CSLB. Unlike a Contractors Bond, a Disciplinary Bond is a completely different type of bond and the amount of the bond is set by the CSLB. They will notify you in writing with the amount that they require you to carry.
What is a contractor disciplinary bond?
It's a bond the CSLB requires you to carry when a claim (citation) is filed against your license. The CSLB sets the bond amount and sends you correspondence outlining the amount and duration of the bond.
How much does a Disciplinary bond cost?
Disciplinary Bonds vary in pricing. The companies do run a credit check, just like they do with regular Contractors Bonds.
